NSW Productivity Places Program

Expression of Interest

Beck Health & Nutrition has been awarded a limited number of funded training places under the NSW Productivity Places Program (PPP) for 2010 for eligible participants to undertake the following courses:

This training is funded by the NSW Government in partnership with the Australian Government.  To be eligible for a funded training place you must be:

  • An Australian Citizen, permanent Australian resident or Humanitarian Refugee and will need to sign a declaration to this effect.

  • A NSW resident and/or work in NSW.

  • Not currently enrolled in secondary or other tertiary education and training.

  • Able to meet the criteria of an "existing worker" as stipulated by the PPP.  An existing worker means someone who is a NSW resident or works in NSW and is:

    • a person 20 years of age or older who has been in paid employment for more than one hour in the week prior to commencement of training, or

    • a person 15-19 years of age who is not formally enrolled in school and has been in paid employment for more than 15 hours in the week prior to commencement of training.

Course Fees

Students who are offered a place and choose to enrol into training under the NSW Productivity Places Program are required to pay a student contribution fee upon enrolment.  The student administration fee for each course will be:

  • Certificate IV in Population Health: $456.00 (normal cost $1395.00).  Students receiving a Commonwealth benefit or allowance (see below) will pay a concession fee of $51

  • Diploma of Population Health: $1214.00 (normal cost $2970.00).   Students receiving a Commonwealth benefit or allowance (see below) will pay a concession fee of $51.

These fees are in line with TAFE NSW fees and are a requirement of government funding. Some participants may be eligible for a fee exemption or only required to pay a concessional fee (see below).

Fee exemptions

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students are exempt from paying the TAFE NSW fee.  Students in receipt of a Disability Support Pension are entitled to one full fee exemption for one TAFE NSW course per year, and are eligible for the $50 Concession fee for subsequent enrolments in that year.

Fee concessions

Students who receive a Commonwealth benefit or allowance (see list below) are eligible to pay a Concession fee of $50 per course enrolment per year rather than the full TAFE NSW fee.
